This is not a real acting class.
We are a ragtag group of Seattle-based actors who came together to practice technique.
We weren’t interested in teachers needing ego reinforcement, and we couldn’t afford their tuition anyway. So, we developed a cost-free method for sharpening our tools. We are not pupils of any, “Real Teacher,” but of the work, itself.
This class has no official teachers or leaders. Instead, it is governed by the technique outlined in the book Sanford Meisner on Acting and by the principles of the Twelve Traditions: leadership is rotated, purpose outranks ego, and the work, itself, is the ultimate teacher and authority. 🎬
